How do I connect SmartPMS with BeSafe Rate?

The following article simply describes the steps required to authorise the connection of BeSafe systems to your SmartPMS properties and bookings. Follow BeSafe Rate's instructions for the correct configuration of rate plans in SmartPMS.

1. Generating API credentials on SmartPMS

To obtain the credentials, the subscription owner (the primary administrator account of the company) simply needs to carry out the following steps:

  1. Make sure you are logged into SmartPMS with the main administrator account.
⚠️ ONLY the subscription owner account with SmartPMS can perform this operation. Secondary administrator accounts or those added later cannot follow this step or, in any case, it will not work.
  2. Click on the following authorisation link:

  3. Confirm authorisation for BeSafe Rate to access.

Following authorisation, both BeSafe Rate support and the subscription owner will receive the dedicated API credentials (Email and Password to use in BeSafe Rate) by email.

⚠️ Note on property management:
By default, this procedure authorises BeSafe Rate to access all properties on the account.
If you wish to limit BeSafe Rate's access to only certain specific properties, you can do so at any time from SmartPMS by following these steps:

  1. Go to Settings → Users.
  2. Locate the API account automatically created by the system (whose email corresponds to the credentials received by email immediately after confirming the authorisation given at point 3 above).
  3. Click on Actions → Edit and deselect any properties you do not want to give BeSafe Rate access to.
  4. Save the changes.

ℹ️ Similarly, if in the future you need to add new properties in BeSafe Rate:

  1. Go to Settings → Users.
  2. Locate the API account automatically created by the system (whose email corresponds to the credentials received by email immediately after confirming the authorisation given at point 3 above).
  3. Click on Actions → Edit and select any new properties you want to give BeSafe Rate access to.
  4. Save the changes.
