Rate Plan Description and Settings

Go to Settings → Properties, then click the Settings button in the list of managed properties. Now, navigate to Room & Rates, then Rate Plans, and click on CONFIGURE. Click the pencil icon next to the rate plan you wish to edit.

 


Editing Cancellation Policy and Included Services in the Rate

You can modify the cancellation policy by editing the field "Refundable Terms", then choose the "Refundable Penalty" the guest will be required to pay if they cancel beyond the specified date.

If you do not see these settings, it is likely that the Refundable toggle above is disabled.

In this case, it means the rate is NON-REFUNDABLE, and the guest will always be required to pay the full amount if they cancel.

 

You can set a deposit to be paid

āš ļø Attention: The deposit (if set as a percentage) will only be requested from the guest if "Bank Transfer" is selected as the payment method. For more details, see this section: Payment Methods (Bank Transfer). The deposit is available only for refundable rate plans. For non-refundable rate plans, the full amount will be requested upfront.

 


Rate Plan Description

At the bottom of the page (scroll down), you will notice two fields: "Public Name" and "Description".

If you wish, you can fill in these details to give a more appealing name to your rate and/or to specify any additional services included in the rate plan.

For example, if your rate plan includes a horseback riding excursion, you could use the "Name" and "Description" fields as follows:

  • Name: "Stay + Horseback Riding Excursion"
  • Description: "Included in the price, in addition to our buffet breakfast, a complimentary horseback riding excursion for all guests."

As with all descriptions, you can add translations for all languages.
