Split Reservation

Splitting a reservation allows you to:

  • Divide a reservation into two parts when a guest stays in two different rooms.
  • Move a reservation between different properties, especially when they have separate OTA accounts. For example, if Casa A and Casa B have two different Booking.com accounts, and you want to move a reservation from Casa A to Casa B, you will need to perform a split.

Splitting the Same Reservation into Two Accommodations

To split the same reservation into two different accommodations, simply follow these steps:

  1. Open the reservation that you want to split.
  2. Open the Advanced Operations menu in the black section of the reservation. The button looks like a list icon.
  3. Select Split Reservation.
  4. Now, complete the following fields:
    • Start Date: Choose the first day the guest will change to a new unit/accommodation.
    • Property: Select the destination property for the date change (you can choose the same or a different property).
    • Unit: Choose the accommodation where the guest will stay starting from the Start Date.

Split reservations are marked with a red tag on the calendar

Moving an Entire Reservation Between Properties (Reservation Transfer)

To move the entire reservation from one property to another, simply drag the reservation between the two accommodations. If a technical split is necessary, the system will perform it automatically.

The system uses the Split function when itโ€™s necessary to maintain synchronization with OTAs.

Important Notes:

  • OTAs do not recognise the split, and the guest will not be informed. If the guest modifies the dates of the reservation, the system will not reassign the original accommodation, meaning the split will remain. However, the stay dates will still be updated accordingly.
